From Archena (Murcia), the students at 1st ESO in IES Vicente Medina, have been working about a character from history called Guy Fawkes. Here you can know him.
Thanks to Inmaculada López and their pupils. A great work!

“Remember Remember the 5th of November
The gunpowder treason and plot
I know of no reason
Why the gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot”
Four hundred years ago, the 5th of November 1605, a man called Guy Fawkes and a group of friends tried to kill the King James I by blowing up the Houses of Parliament. At that time the main religion was the Protestant religion. Guy Fawkes was a catholic and he wanted more rights for catholics, but James I didn’t want to give them any more rights.
Guy Fawkes didn’t succeed so nowadays people celebrate that Guy Fawkes didn’t kill the king with bonfires and fireworks on the 5th of November. They make “Guys” to burn them on the bonfires.
This is what 1º ESO students have prepared to celebrate Guy Fawkes. Thanks a lot to all of them for their great work:
